xiorawr asked: Any recipes for high cholesterol?

Great question and cholesterol is something that I didn’t know much about until after I’d been vegan for a while. I’m no doctor, but from what I understand, there are two main ways to get cholesterol, what you eat and what your body produces. Cholesterol is made in the liver, so the only foods that contain cholesterol are of animal origin. A vegan diet contains no dietary cholesterol! There are things that will stimulate your own cholesterol production (like trans-fats and hydrogenated oils), so cutting back on those will help lower your levels, too.

Basically, all vegan recipes are good for lowering your cholesterol! There are some foods that work better than others like oatmeal, apples, walnuts, soy and omega-3 rich foods. I believe exercise can also work wonders. So, check out some of the recipes I’ve posted and cook away!
